How violent is the tv show Prison break?

Just how violent is the show. I mean I'm 14 years old and I want to watch it. It says it is rated 16+ on Commonsensemedia.org, but I don't believe because Heroes is way more violent and gory and it only got a 14+ rating. I also read an article which lead me to asking this question because it said that in the show, there was a decapitation scene in which the stars reacted to it. So is it ok for a 14 year old to watch it or not, cause I watched the first two episodes of heroes and wasn't disturbed by the content so do you think I can stand Prison break?
