ONE TREE HILL SEASON FINALE question:?

I know that, last week, the CW released an official statement saying that both Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton) were leaving One Tree Hill.... my question is: what the hell happened in the season finale? At the end, they drive off with their baby. Is that supposed to be the end of them?
