I just bought a new Puma athletic T-shirt...?

... and the label says it should not be put in the dryer. The shirt has a label on it that says USP and supposedly it possesses this moisture wicking technology that is designed to absorb sweat. Why would putting the shirt in the dryer affect the shirt??
