Do you think a horrible holocaust could happen again?

From 1933 to 1945 in Europe the most brutal, inhumane treatment of a human race ever occurred in the holocaust. How did it happen? A country was broke and poverty-stricken and a leader rose up, who was a white supremist, known as Adolf Hitler. Hitler delivered the poverty stricken-nation by doing political miracles. He re-constructed the economy and re-armed the military; not only re-arming the military, but made it the most powerful military in Europe for that time. However, it was so very easy to blame the country's past misfortunes on a certain race of people and have them viewed as cancer cells. Thus, causing the holocaust. My fear is could something as horrible as that ever happen again? When we we learn to "Erase the Hate"?
