Does my Mountain Horned Agama need a Girlfriend?

I have a Mountain Horned Agama. Not sure of how old he is but at a guess maybe just 1 year or so? When I bought him I didn't know a lot about Mountain Horned Agama's but kind of regret supporting the wild catching of these. My poor little boy has probably been wildly caught and shipped over. I now want to give him the best life possible. He is in a tank with UV light and heat lamp, he comes out all the time and is actually now quite friendly. BUT sometimes when I get home I find him looking very depressed and sometimes he stays in one position all day long. Does he need a girlfriend? Reptile experts tell me he does but they would have to 'order one'- to order one surely means i'm going to support more wild catching. Any advice from anyone? I want my boy to be happy and other than flying to sri lanka to release him I don't know what to do!
